Patrick M. Smith, Associate
Patrick is an Associate Lawyer with a general litigation practice. He joined our team in July 2019.
Since being called to the Alberta Bar in October 2018, Patrick has acted as counsel for clients in Provincial Court and the Court of Queen's Bench.
Patrick received his Juris Doctor (with Distinction) from the University of Alberta in 2017. There he was elected Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Alberta Law Review. He won a number of academic awards, including the Pierre Mousseau Prize in Professional Responsibility. He was also a semi-finalist at the 2016 Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot, where he and his partner won the Best Factum (Appellant) Award.
Prior to attending law school, Patrick completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Honours) at McGill University.
Patrick is a creative thinker who enjoys finding original solutions to difficult legal problems. When he is not in the office, Patrick can be found reading fiction or stumbling through yoga poses.
