Juliana Ho, Associate
Juliana received her Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2017, and was officially admitted to the Alberta Bar on Friday, August 17, 2018.
While in law school, she worked as a Ministerial Intern at the Alberta Legislature, and as a Research and Writing Student at the Centre for Constitutional Studies. She also acted as a Writing Fellow, teaching legal research and writing to first year law students.
While in law school, Juliana served as Co-Chair of the Student Chapter of the Canadian Bar Association for two years, and contributed several articles to LawNow Magazine. She was also a member of Student Legal Services and Pro Bono Students Canada, both of which provide legal information to low income individuals.
Other work experience highlights include research and policy work for 4 different Government of Alberta ministries, serving as a Member of the Edmonton Journal Community Advisory Board, Grant Adjudicator for the University of Alberta Green & Gold Professional Development and Leadership Grant, and Member of the Students' Union Academic Relations Group at the University of Alberta.
While in law school, Juliana won several prizes and awards, including the Bryan & Company Pursuit of Excellence Award, the Jason Lang Scholarship and the Genevieve Veale Memorial Award. She was also recipient of the Edmonton Bar Association Award, awarded annually at Judges' Dinner, and of research funding through the University of Alberta Undergraduate Research Initiative, to carry out a project on Canada (Attorney General) v Bedford.
In her spare time, Juliana enjoys traveling, baking, playing the piano and heading out to the mountains for some hiking.
